WOOD PLACE LIBRARY REOPENS MAY 22
M-W-F 10 A.M.-2 P.M.
T-TH 3 P.M.-7 P.M.
The Wood Place Library is operated by The Elia Wood Foundation. The board recently voted to provide FREE library cards to anyone residing in Moniteau County that wishes to use the library. We encourage those who have never used the library to apply for a library card and begin exploring the collections for check-out, 14 public computers, free WiFi, e-Books, Copy/Faxing services, and programs. The Foundation is reaching out to residents to assist them in making an informed decision when considering a future levy campaign.
In the meantime, the Foundation will be fundraising to assist with operating costs until pubic support is voted into existence and tax funds are received. The projected goal is to be open part-time in 2017, and full time beginning January 2, 2018.
Once a levy has been passed, the library will be eligible for MO State Library programs and grants. These grants provide funding for the Summer Reading Program, Interlibrary Loan Courier Service, the Rural Electronic Assess for Libraries (REAL) program, and other beneficial programs.
We are excited about the future of the library and appreciate your support and understanding during this most difficult time for the library.
