New Moniteau County Library Board Trustees
L to R: Connie Gerling, Library Director; Sara Rohrbach, Secretary; Holly Bieri, Treasurer; Bill Boies, Vice President; Laura Burger, President; Lana Dicus, Board member
Thank you Moniteau County voters for voting to reestablish the Moniteau County Library District and approving the tax levy on November 7. 2017. We encourage those who have never used the library to apply for a library card and begin exploring the collections for check-out, 14 public computers, free WiFi, e-Books, Copy/Faxing services, and programs. We also welcome reciprocal borrowers from surrounding counties to use our facilities and resources.
The County Library Board will take over the operation of the library on January 1, 2018 from the Elia Wood Paegelow Foundation Board. The Foundation currently operates the library and spearheaded a fundraising campaign to Keep the Doors Open until public support from the new tax levy begins to come in in December, 2018. Because of the tremendous success of these efforts, the library will be open forty hours per week beginning January 2, 2018.
The library is again eligible for MO State Library aid and grants. The Interlibrary Loan Courier Service has been reestablished and reciprocal agreements with neighboring libraries are in the works.
We are excited about the future of the library and appreciate your support.
