Smokey Bear Reading Challenge

The USDA Forest Service has collaborated with the public library systems to create the Smokey Bear Reading Challenge to celebrate Smokey Bear’s 80th Birthday.

The library will have the Reading Challenge Logs available starting March 27th. We will have bookmarks and other incentives for doing the challenge. The Reading Challenge is geared towards ages 4 to 10, but everyone is welcome to participate.

“Did you know 9 out of 10 wildfires are caused by people? Smokey Bear does! Help Smokey prevent wildfires by joining the Smokey Bear Reading Challenge. Read books, take action, and have fun.”
