Library Director
Our Director is Ashli Wood. She began her duties in January 2024. Ashli is a life-long native of Moniteau County. She attended the Moniteau R-6 School District in Tipton for her elementary, middle, and high school education. Ashli has a BS in Communication Disorders and a MS in Speech-Language Pathology from UCM. Ashli spent 28 years in education in Moniteau County. She worked as an SLP in California for 13 years and a 5th grade teacher and SLP in Tipton for the remaining 15 years. Ashli spent one term on the Moniteau County Library Board and two summers helping with summer programs at Moniteau County Library. Ashli is a life-long reader and reads a variety of genres. She will be happy to help anyone, of any age find a book!
Media & Programming Specialist & Circulation Assistant
Jessica George is our Program and Media Specialist. Jessica is a native of Moniteau County. She enjoys reading new adult novels, drawing, hunting, and being in nature. Jessica received her associate degree in the Spring of 2022. She is now going to Central Methodist University to get her Bachelor’s degrees. Jessica began working at the library in August 2020.
Bilingual Circulation Assistant
Carmen Belen is our Bilingual Circulation Assistant. Carmen is a native of Puerto Rico and New York. She has lived in California since 2019. She has four beautiful children and three amazing grandchildren. Carmen enjoys reading novels from Stephen King to Sarah J. Maas. She can give the best book recommendations for all readers.
